How I Resolved Uterine Fibroids & Prevented More Miscarriage

Emili 150x150 How I Resolved Uterine Fibroids & Prevented More MiscarriageHi there! This is Jenni’s younger sister, Emili, here to explain one of my greatest lessons that I learned from a difficult personal experience.

Disclaimer: I will be talking about “women issues” openly. Please do not read this post if that bothers you.

I have always loved children. Whether it be babysitting a big family (which I did often when I was young), helping a family with small children stay quiet in Church or a new baby in the family, I was always the one in the middle of it.

I felt I could relate to kids in a special way and it always made me happy to be playing. If there was a baby in the room, I was usually the one holding it. So, naturally I have always wanted a big family of my own.

I was married in May of 2003 when I was 24 years old. I started birth control a month or so before getting married because that’s “what you do” when you get engaged – right? But I had a problem with my birth control.

I was on a dance team that toured the state and danced 2-4 shows a day at elementary school assemblies on one of our trips we stayed overnight, and I forgot to bring my birth control with me. How could such a simple and small mistake hurt my body so much? I started bleeding. Heavily. It was on and off for a while, and I figured it was “normal” and my fault since I had missed the one dose.

Fast forward a couple of months to where all of a sudden my periods became unbearable. Before birth control I rarely had bad pain or super heavy bleeding, but that seemed to be all I was experiencing now. Not only that, but my period decided to come much more often making my cycle way shorter. It was horrible.

All of a sudden my life felt like it was revolving around it, and I was losing a lot of blood due to the heavy, HEAVY bleeding. I became anemic and finally went to see a doctor. After trying a couple different birth controls, without success, he ordered some tests and an ultra sound and found that I had 2 uterine fibroids, one of which was quite large.

He said that in his opinion, he didn’t know if I could get pregnant without cutting them out. They were right in the middle of my uterus. He recommended surgery, but that was the last thing I wanted when it was RIGHT there, in the middle of my uterus, where one mistake could cost me motherhood.

Instead he took me off birth control and gave me a shot of Lupron, which inhibits estrogen production in women, to see if that would help. It helped the bleeding a little, but put my body into “menopause” mode. So, at the age of 25, I was having hot flashes, sweating in my sleep, mood swings, and all kinds of miserable side effects.

But this was only a temporary fix. Lupron shrinks the fibroids, but then they usually grow again back after a few months. And I learned later, that it is usually done right before surgery. So why did that doctor give that to me? Hmmmmm.

My Mom went out and bought me 8 books about uterine fibroids. I flipped through them, browsing the treatments and reading parts here and there, but they looked too depressing and didn’t have solutions other than surgery. So, I quit birth control and tried to get on with life.

I got pregnant right away and carried the baby for 10 weeks until one morning I started bleeding. I made 2 trips to the ER, both devastating. I was clueless and didn’t know that when you’re pregnant and you start bleeding, often you are having a miscarriage. I just didn’t think that could happen to me.

It didn’t hurt (yet) and I sat in the ER for 8 hours while they tried to figure out what was going on. They sent me home telling me that there was no fetal heartbeat and that I was threatening a miscarriage. The pain didn’t start until 8 hours later. Pain, vomiting, contractions, it was horrible.

I went back screaming, took the anti-nausea medicine, the pain-killers and had a D&C right there. I met with the OBGYN later who told me once again that I had 2 large uterine fibroids right in the middle of my uterus. She said that she couldn’t legally say that was why I miscarried, but that she thought surgery would be a good idea in my case.

I called my Mom instead. She was well into extreme health and alternative medicine by then, so I told her I would try whatever she recommended. It was not pretty. She put me on essaic tea (which isn’t so good during pregnancy, because it’s a blood cleanser) and all kinds of different supplements. I took them faithfully.

My husband was doing PA rotations at the time working to get his certification as a Physician Assistant. He worked with a surgeon on a rotation in Ogden and I had a chance to get another ultra sound at their office. I had been doing Mom’s regime for about 6 weeks and figured it should make a difference. We measured the fibroids and they were smaller, but still quite there.

The surgeon recommended surgery and told me that I wouldn’t be able to carry a baby in there because the fibroid would work like wrecking balls and knock out whatever I had going. But, I’m stubborn and I had decided surgery would not be my solution, so I kept up the tea and the supplements.

Right about October I was pregnant again. By this time we lived in Vernal, UT where I had access to an ultra sound machine and my husband worked in the local Urgent Care. I wanted a baby so bad that I thought I could just pray it there safely. The tea had made a difference and I just hoped it was enough, but I was scared of the thought of having another miscarriage.

For Thanksgiving we drove down to Jenni’s home in Cedar City. She was pregnant and due before we would get there, but when we arrived, the baby still hadn’t come. She had decided to have him in her home with a midwife named Vickie Sorensen. While I hadn’t really considered a midwife for myself, I respected Jenni’s decision and was excited to be there when this baby entered the world.

The process was wonderful and the baby came on Thanksgiving Day, almost a whole week late. I was so impressed with Vickie and the whole experience, that I decided I wanted to have my baby the same way. I hadn’t even announced yet that I was pregnant, because I was afraid of losing it and dealing with that grief again.

I decided to talk to Vickie about it. I told her about my miscarriage and the fibroids. She told me that neither was a big deal and gave me 2 specific supplements to take in addition to her prenatal vitamins. First, was her Pau D Arco tincture, a glycerin extract that she told me to take a dropper full of daily.

I was a little surprised that she didn’t freak out and prepare me for the possibility of losing the baby to the fibroids. I took it consistently and months later was able to see that the fibroids were actually shrinking away. Even the ultra sound tech told me that whatever I was doing was totally working.

Second, she put me on her Fem Ease formula. She said that most miscarriages are due to a lack of progesterone and that many medical supplements aren’t effective enough.

FemEase 235x300 How I Resolved Uterine Fibroids & Prevented More MiscarriageShe said to take it until I was 13 weeks and that I wouldn’t have a problem. Now, she is a certified Nurse Midwife, but not a doctor, so I realize that she couldn’t guarantee it, but she told me that when her Mom’s are on this supplement, she rarely has a miscarriage.

Fast forward to July 19, 2005 when I gave birth to my first child, Noah, in Jenni’s home with Vickie attending. I’ll tell you about that experience later, but he was healthy, happy and huge.

Baby Noah 300x224 How I Resolved Uterine Fibroids & Prevented More Miscarriage

Dallon & Baby Noah

I have continued to take the Pau D Arco tincture, when I remember, and my periods are back to normal with regular bleeding and rarely any cramps. I have since had 2 more children, all with midwives, without fibroid complications and without miscarrying.

I am so grateful that I didn’t get the surgery, and that heavy bleeding and pain no longer plague my life.

I know the fibroids are still there, because I’ve seen them at every ultra sound, but they are so small that they don’t bother anything at all.

*Update:  You can talk with Vickie directly by calling (435) 586-4854. She charges $75 for a 1 hour consultation. She’s an expert in female issues. Please mention that Jenni from Mom Essentials referred you.

  1. What a wonderful inspiring story!
Can you tell us more detail of what herbs you took?

  2. Emili says:

I took the “Flor Essence” Essiac Tea which is a blood cleanser. I stopped taking that before I got pregnant again because it’s not good to cleanse during pregnancy. To be honest, I don’t even remember the other herbs my Mom put me on. They helped a little, but not nearly enough as the Pau D Arco.

Jenni is going to post a link soon with more details about the Pau D Arco tincture and the FemEase capsules and where you can get them. Hope that helps!

  3. Lindsay says:

Wow, cool story, Emili! That’s so great that you were able to get better and have your kiddos in a non-evasive way. And I’d love to hear your home birth stories sometime!

  4. Ginae says:

Thanks so much for posting this story. I had surgery to remove my fibroids 5 years ago and they have since grown back. I do not want to have to go through that again but keep hearing how there is no natural way to shrink fibroids. You have proven there is! Please don’t forget to have your sis come back and post a link with more details about the Pau D Arco tincture and FemEase capsules…

  5. Anonymous says:

Thank you for sharing your story, Emili. I look forward to hearing more about Noah. He’s huge!!! I had Baby #3 at home with a midwife, and Baby #3 was 9 lbs. 8 oz. It wasn’t pretty.

Steve told me about your blog, Jenni, and I’m glad to be a follower now.

  6. I didn’t mean to leave that last comment anonymous.

  7. NT says:

Emili, thank you very much for sharing your story.I can begin to hope again.

  8. Ginae says:

I had one more question..I have heard that if your fibroids are calcified, that they cannot be shrunk. Do you know anything about this? I don’t know if mine or or not (the dr. did not say when they did the ultrasound). But I sure hope this isn’t true. Thanks…

    • Jenni says:

Hi Ginae! Various parts of the body can get calcified as a result of putting “rock” source minerals into the body (like from drinking tap water or taking supplements that are not plant based). Dr. Christopher taught that in order to rid the body of these calcifications, the person must drink distilled water and take Organic Apple Cider Vinegar (1 TB 3x a day) to break down and pull these unusable minerals out.

I would also suggest making green drinks part of your diet as a source or raw (living), healthy calcium that your body can utilize. Dr Christopher’s Herbal Calcium works well also. I do both in my family. Good luck!

      • pansy says:

how long do we need to take the AVC for it to break down the calcium layer? thank you.

        • Jenni says:

It’s different for each person and depends on how much calcification you have. Dr Christopher recommended that everyone take some Apple Cider Vinegar everyday as a healthy life-long habit.

I recommend taking it for at least 2 months,(1 TB 3x a day), then I would take it for 1 month every 6 months. You know your own body and history, so you may want to take for longer periods of time if you think you need it.

In response to your question about the fibroid tincture, if you click on my Dr Mom Store you will find it for sale along with dosage and other information.

  9. Ginae says:

Thank you Jenni! You’re a doll for helping everyone. Blessings to you.

  10. Sue Anderson says:

This is a great site, Jenni. I’m glad to know about the FemEase because my daughter with PCOS is trying to get pregnant and they told her she will have a greater chance of miscarriage due to the shape of her uterus.

Any tips for someone with polycystic ovaries who is trying to get pregnant?

    =)

    • Jenni says:

Sorry to take so long, Sue! Your question got lost in my shuffle.

Vickie recommends 1300 mg of Evening Primrose oil morning & evening, along with 2 capsules of her FemEase AM & PM for specific healing and nourishing. She said to rub 3 drops of her PMS essential oil blend (I can order it for you) over the uterus, and that this will help dissolve cysts. The next couple periods after using may pass some tissue or smell funny because the uterus is detoxing.

Limit meat and dairy with hormones (buy organic) because the estrogen based hormones in these products cause the cysts to grow.

Let me know if I can help you further. Love you Sue!

  11. TamaTama says:

    Inspiring story.

I live in the UK and have a ‘multi fibroid uterus’. I have surgery scheduled for early next year but am trying ACV and baking soda in an attempt to shrink my fibroids back to a level where they are not causing 10 day long periods and awful cramps. That’s probably about the stage I was at 2-3 years ago. So far I have been taking acv + baking soda for one month and my last cycle although still as long was far less painfull! I have now stocked up on acv with mother to see if that works better.

I was wondering, is it possible to purchase the tincture for fibroids and fem ease capsules and have them delivered to the UK?

I sure hope so, I am truly inspired by your story.

Congratulations to you and your husband on being blessed with your family.

    Txx

    • Jenni says:

Yes, we can deliver to the UK. It was $27 to ship to Amsterdam and it took 2 weeks, but I’m not sure the exact amount it would be. I would have to email you a custom invoice if it’s worth it to you. Let me know.

I’m glad this article inspired you! I will be posting another one within a few days on herbal aids and essential oils for women’s issues. Thanks for sharing your thoughts!

      Jenni

Hello, just responding to the one who asked for tips on women with polycystic ovaries who are trying to get pregnant. My wife and her sister has it and became pregnant only after taking Metformin. many others have the same experience. We stopped the Metformin right after they became pregnant to be safe.

btw, thanks Emili. Have a sister with fibroids and will surely recommend this as well as the ACV. Thanks to everyone.

  13. NT says:

    Hi Emili,
I was just wondering if you could search for the other herbs you took for the sake of women struggling with fibroid and still suffering from it, myself included, pls can you find out the other herbs you took. We need your help pls. Many thanks, NT

  14. Kem says:

This is a wonderful story. I live in Africa. How can I get your product?

  15. C says:

Question, did you have any symptoms relating to the the fibroids shrinking?

I have fibroids and starting drinking some Pau D Arco tea just on Saturday. Starting bleeding today (Monday) even though my period isn’t due for another week or so. Just could be a coincidence.

    C

  16. Jenni @ Mom Essentials says:

    Got this from a reader:
    Hi Jenni,
Your website is truly amazing! I stumbled across it by finding Emil’s story about her successful shrinking fibroids & pregnancy story. But I had just two questions for her and was hoping you or her could answer as I’m desperately seeking alternative help. I just wanted to ask if her fibroids were submucosal (in the wall if the uterus) and how large were they from when she conceived and how small did they end up shrinking?

I just want to get a sense of how long it took to shrink and if mine are too big already to sustain the pregnancy. My doctor keeps telling me that surgery is the only option to prevent miscarriage and heavy bleeding. I had a miscarriage in 2009 and haven’t been able to get pregnant since. My two fibroids are about 4 or 5 cm. Thank you in advance for any further information you or Emili can share. I really appreciate it. Best, F

    Emili replied:
    Hi F,

I was told the same thing – and if my memory serves me right, I think that mine were around 3 & 5 cms or so. They are really close to each other and caused my periods to be horrible for a while. I don’t remember the term they used for where they are exactly, but I do know that they are on the inside of my uterine wall right at the top of my uterus. One of the surgeons I talked to told me that I would be unable to sustain a pregnancy because it was like “my own personal wrecking ball” in there. He said it was big enough that it hung off the wall a little and that it would b in the way of a pregnancy.

It probably took them a good 3-4 months to really show a difference in the size (maybe not that long), and I would try the Pau D Arco for at least 6 months consistently before making any decisions. I didn’t start taking the Pau D Arco until after I was pregnant again and I was so so worried I would miscarry again, but I took it diligently and slowly but surely they shrank. I had access to an ultra sound machine because my husband worked in a urgent care so I was able to check it without the cost. I totally remember the day when the Ultra Sound tech said, “well, whatever herbal stuff you’re doing its totally working.”

My fear with surgery was that afterward, I would be stuck with a lot of scar tissue, and I know I already have some scar tissue from the D&C they did when I first miscarried. With my last miscarriage I passed it naturally instead of going in for a D&C and while it wasn’t a “good” experience, it wasn’t nearly as horrible and scary as getting the D&C. My other fear is that, while it is a routine procedure and complications are rare, I would be afraid that I would be the complication and that something would go wrong and effect my uterus negatively.

I still have to take the Pau D Arco regularly to say on top of my fibroids, but it still is working for me. Feel free to email me any more questions directly if you have any. I’d love to hear how it goes for you! I firmly believe that if you give it a chance it will be cheaper and safer for your body – but I’m not a doctor, that’s just the experience of someone who’s been in your boat. Good luck and please keep me posted!

    • kelly dawn says:

thank you so much for this info. i am currently pregnant and have a 9x7x9 round uterine fibroid on the outside wall of my uterus down by my cervix. I think one thing we need to remember ladies is no matter what size the fibroid{s} are before pregnancy, they will grow quite a bit in beginning of pregnancy due to the increased blood flow to uterus. also, some of these remedies aren’t safe during pregnancy. it looks like i can take pau d’ arco so i will start tomorrow. i’m curious what i can take postpartum since i will be nursing.i know i need to cleanse….Good luck everyone!

      • Jenni @ Mom Essentials says:

Hi Kelly- There are different opinions on what is safe and harmful to take during pregnancy. Which ones are you thinking may be unsafe?

        • kelly dawn says:

well the Flor Essence essiac tea-since it is a blood cleanser. i’m reading in several sources not to do major detox/cleansing while pregnant.?. also what about FemEase-all i’m taking for the fibroid is Pau D’Arco.

          • Jenni @ Mom Essentials says:

Yes, Emili mentioned in a comment that she stopped taking the essiac tea when she got pregnant. It’s still not as unsafe as many drugs, but I will add that to the post. The FemEase is considered safe and I have many friends and clients who take it while pregnant.

  17. C says:

    Hello,

So how long does one bottle of Fem Ease 100 caps last? i.e. dosage per day for how many days?

How long does the Pau’D Arco 2 oz bottle last? i.e. days

How long will it take to notice a reduction in fibroids?

    Thank you.
    C

    • Emili says:

One bottle of Fem Ease should last you about 25 days. Take 2 caps in the morning and 2 in the evening.

I’ve never kept track of how long it takes me to go through the Pau’D Arco tincture. I use a 4 oz bottle and it usually lasts me a few months. I’d guess the 2 oz would last about 2 months but that’s just my best guess.

Its also hard to say how long it takes to see a difference, because you’d have to get ultrasounds to be sure, but I noticed a considerable difference in the size of mine within 3 months. If you’re paying for ultrasounds to see, I’d try to give it at least 4 months of being really consistent.

      Hope that helps!

      Emili

      • Alicia says:

Regarding the Pau d arco tincture, how many milligrams is it and how many dropper fulls do you have to take per day? Is there anything that helps if you have calcified fibroids as well?

  18. Ida says:

Hi girls and boys (if any)!

I’m so glad to hear positive news like this one!I know that there are alternatives for this kind of issues. I believe that God gave us the nature with many purposes, among them to be healed.
Like Emili, I was pregnant and had a miscarriage a month ago. That has been my first pregnancy and for me has been very sad. You know how it feels! The doctor said it could have been because of a big fibroid (7cm)that they found in my uterus. Obviously, he recommended surgery, but… for me, that is not an option! Immediately, I started looking for alternatives and ended in a naturopath doctor who gave me red-raspberry leaf tea for the first month and last week (on my second visit), he switched for Pau D’ Arco that I just started since Friday. He gave me some other stuff that I’m doing and keeping strictly. He recommended to use clay poultices on my abdomen (actually, around the bikini line)and I am doing it at evening for one hour every day.
I’ve been vegetarian for at least 20 years but I still made some changes in my diet in order to improve my systems and detox my body completely. So far, I already don’t have the strong pain that I used to have during my menstruations and I feel much better.
Also, to workout helps a lot; that’s an important part. Of course, I’m keeping a good spirit, positive mind and trust in God!
Tomorrow I have my appointment with the gyn and I have faith that everything will be much better this time. Please, keep me in your thoughts and prayers. I’ll let you know the outcome of this visit!

    Love!
    Ida

I hope and pray everything goes well for you Ida! Thank you for sharing your story and telling us about the tools you are using!

  19. Ida says:

    Hi Jenni!

Thanks for your prayers! Thanks God everything is going very well and improving! The fibroid already reduced 2cm in one month (so now the size is 5cm)! On my first appointment he recommended surgery but first to go with Lupron. Now he was surprised and even changed his mind about Lupron and surgery! He wants to wait a little bit until January to see the next results. I’m going to keep the treatment, including Pau D’ Arco. You’ll hear from me in a while.

    • Jenni @ Mom Essentials says:

Awesome Ida! Way to hold your ground and do what’s best for your body! I’m so happy to hear that the treatment is working. Please keep us posted on your progress to healing. I look forward to hearing back from you after the holidays. You go girl!

    • Alicia says:

Hi Ida, I was reading your post along with the others on shrinking fibroids naturally. I was wondering how your progress was going since your last post. Hope all is well. I just started taking the Pau d’arco and ACV again and looking for other great natural ways.

  20. Mercy says:

hi Jennie, thanks sharing your experience with us. I’m in South Africa and l have uterine fibroids. Where can l get the Pau d Arco and Fem Ease here? Hoping to hear from you soon.

    • Ronah says:

You can get it at a health food store, that is where i got mine, although am not in SA

    • Jenni @ Mom Essentials says:

Just so everyone knows, I emailed Mercy and asked for her address to determine if I could ship to her. If you want to know if I can ship to you international, please email me through the contact form and give me your address so I can do a shipping estimate. I know how valuable it is to have access to these natural tools, so I am willing to try to get them to you where-ever you are. Thanks!

  21. Ronah says:

Hi i read your testimony and decided to go out and get the tea. Am hoping it works for me and shrinks my fibroids

  22. veronica says:

Hi, I was diagnosed with a small fibroid and I went to a nutritional and she gave me fibrocell and Pau d arco. Will that help me shrink it and also do you know anything that will help me conceive because I been trying for about 2 years and a half. Please help.

  23. Alicia says:

This is inspiring. I myself have multiple fibroids and just recently had another ultrasound/mri confirming this. I am on a mission to try the natural things that God has provided. He is able to do the impossible. I plan to buy the Pau d’Arco, ACV and check out the tea. Are there any other things that will help as well?

      Hi Alicia!

I’m so glad to hear of your mission! I believe God supports us in many ways we don’t even realize. As far as anything else that would help, a good women’s herbal formula like Vickie Sorensen’s Fem Ease is so important for balancing and nourishing the hormones and reproductive system. Also, nourishing oils like Evening Primrose or wheat germ oil help greatly. You may want to consider a 2 week juice/raw veggie fast to cleanse and balance. Good luck!

  24. Mia says:

I am just starting to try and conceive and my doctor has concerns about my fibroids and if I will be able to conceive and also talked to me about the possibilities of miscarriages. I was very upset and started researching this and I came upon your blog. I just wanted a little more information on the Pau ‘d arco and Femease. Is it safe to take while trying to get pregnant and I am also taking a plant based prenatal vitamin. Thanks for sharing and it is really inspiring to hear your story.

    • Jenni @ Mom Essentials says:

Hi Mia! This is Jenni, Emili’s sister. Yes, they are very safe and easy on the body, especially if you’ve been taking them before conception. I continued to take these after conception for balancing my hormones and managing yeast. I never had ill effects, yet I felt that they were helping me greatly. They both come in liquid and capsule form, but for some reason we usually use the liquid tincture of the Pau ‘d Arco and the Femease capsules, but either should work well.

Because these tools are complete, whole-plant compounds, they are not dangerous like drugs. They nourish, heal and strengthen the reproductive system, they balance and prepare it for conception. After the first 3 months of pregnancy, when most danger of miscarriage is past, then I would switch to straight red raspberry leaf tea or capsules instead of the FemEase, but the Pau ‘d arco may be continued. Kudos to you for taking a plant-based prenatal vitamin! Hope this information helps!

      • Mia says:

Thanks for the response, I had my husband look over this and this question came about. If we order the two products is there a certain amount you take? Is it a recommendation or are there directions when you receive the products? And if you buy the liquid form do you mix it in anything?

  25. Fruit says:

All the comments sounds good for those who are worried, by my questions is requesting just Pau D Arco good enough to decrease fibroid and try pregnancy or a combination of tablets you listed, if so, my question is are these natural medicine available worldwide,

  26. Fruit says:

Emili you are so lucky and i should even thank God on your behalf for the miracle he did to you before you took other risky measures,

  28. Amelia Emily says:

Hi, my name is Amelia Emily.
Emili reading your story reminds me so much about my own, I have multiple fibroids. I got married on February 4, 2012 and I had a miscarriage on May 18, 2012 at just two days under 10 weeks. My husband and I really love kids I came from a big family. We really want kids of our own. I really would like to try these products, from your mom’s recommended tea to exactly what you took while pregnant. please help. I’m preparing to try again. Thanks in adavance.

  29. Amelia Emily says:

Oh…I also have a 5.4 x 4.7cm complex cyst on my right ovary

  30. Amelia Emily says:

Do the prenatal Multi have folic acid and is it a sufficient amount for pregnancy?

PLEASE RESPOND, I want to order it immediately along with the Pau d Arco and Femease, but I need to know and I also want to know if those three products are sufficient to take alone during pregnancy. I how I have to take the Femease up to 13 weeks and the Pau d Arco I can take right through but the Prenatal Multi… is it a all round supplement with the needed amount of folic acid for pregnancy. I am presently 4 weeks and 2 days pregnant :)

PS: Thanks Emili for your preparation for pregnancy article advice, I followed it with prayer and trusting in Jesus and it paid off. :)

    • Jenni @ Mom Essentials says:

Camillie, Vickie’s daughter says: “Yes, the prenatal has 100% daily recommended pregnancy dosage for folic acid. And all those products are safe for pregnancy!” I’m so glad you are finding success with these natural tools, Amelia!

i have a 1 month old and i am breast feeding. is it safe to take the pau d arco and femease while breastfeeding? thank you

  32. Gina H says:

Hi, I had a miscarriage last year due to having 5 fibroid, one of which is the size of a baby head so I’m desperate to rid myself of these and get preggo again. I currently just started taking ““Mary’s Tea Liquid” Essiac Tea yesterday and came across your site today! I’m trying to get preggo now so I have several questions b4 I place my order. im wondering if you suggest that I stop using essiac tea cas you really don’t find out your pregnant until 2weeks after you get pregnant. Should I just order the Pau D Arco, Fem Ease, omega oil, ACV, and drink green drinks for bout 3 month and go get more x-rays done? Should I take Prenantal vitamins now even if im not pregnant yet? what exactly does evening primrose oil & wheat germ oil do & should I get that as well (both or just one of them)? Do you know what clay poultices is that you rub on the abdomen? Also you mentioned to one lady to go on a green drink fast for 2 weeks, does that mean only drink the juice and no food or anything else? is requesting just Pau D Arco good enough to decrease fibroid and try pregnancy or a combination of tablets you listed?

    • Jenni @ Mom Essentials says:

The essiac tea is not as dangerous as drugs for when you get pregnant. I’m not sure what to tell you about that. Yes, that would be a great course of action to take those supplements and start taking “Natural” prenatal vitamins before you ever get pregnant, to prepare your level of nutrition so you don’t have problems with the baby.

The Evening Primrose and wheat germ oils help soften up the reproductive tissues, and prepare the body to create a healthy placenta. I would take the Evening Primrose until you get pregnant, and through the first trimester. Then I would take wheat germ oil.

Clay poultices help draw toxins out of the body. It could work for fibroids, but I haven’t heard anything about it. For the juice fast, you mainly drink juice with a few raw fruits or veggies, but that’s it. You should also be taking the supplements while you do it.

I’m not sure about your last question. Pau’d Arco is definitely a big hitter against fibroids, but it’s also good to take the combination of the women’s herbs and Evening Primrose oils for best results.

      • Gina H says:

Jenni, thanks so much for a quick response. I was trying to get my order placed but for some reason the omega oil wouldn’t add to the cart. The natural prenatal vitamin is called what? I saw something called female reproductive and I think birth prep, not sure. also, what’s the name of the herbal calcium capsule? most of the product names are different than what I expected. lol Also, do you think its necessary to do any other cleanses, like parasite clean or something like that? I just want to be sure i’m doing everything I need to do. Can I drink purified water instead of distilled water?

I bought some Pau d’arco recently and started taking it again by Gaia Herbs. Is this just as good for fibroids? Also, how long did you take before you noticed a difference? What about calcified fibroids, does it work for that too?

Jenni! I’m pregnant! I’m anxious and nervous! I was bout to purchase the pau d’arco extract but I keep reading that it has horrible side effects and pregnant women shouldn’t take it but you used it to shrink your fibroids. The lady at the nutrition store told me not to take it cause it causes miscarriages! I’m so confused now. I can only find the capsule and tea in the local store but not the drops. I have to start a regimen immediately to be sure I don’t have another miscarriage to fibroids. I’m going to store today to get the natural prenatal vitamins & primrose. I couldn’t find the Fem Ease in a local nutrition store. How long would it take to get my order if I placed it today and what would you suggest I get in place of fem ease until my order comes? I know its a lot of questions, but please help as soon as possible! :)

    • Jenni @ Mom Essentials says:

I just got a response from Vickie’s daughter, Camille on this. She says, “I would tell her that many of our clients have used pau ‘d arco very safely and successfully through their pregnancies. If she wants to start it right away I would recommend the tea. If she is concerned about miscarriage then vitamin e oil and false unicorn should suffice until her fem ease arrives, but she should not do vitamin e supplementation after the second trimester. Shipping times depend on where she is located and whether she ships ups or usps.

I just did some research and there seems to be mixed reviews on whether pau ‘d arco is safe during pregnancy. No definitive tests or trials have been done. Some early trials on lab rats indicated abortifactant properties, but I can’t seem to find the study itself anywhere to determine whether it was the herb itself or an isolated chemical compound in the herb used for the study. But in my experience it has been used safely during pregnancy many times. I suppose it could be too strong of a cleanse if she were doing large doses, but 1 cup of tea (especially if mixed in a pregnancy tea with raspberry & nettles) or a couple of droppperfuls/caps per day should be quite safe. ”

I, myself (Jenni), have used Pau ‘d Arco many times in pregnancy tea for yeast balance and have never experienced any negative side effects.

  35. I think the admin of this site is actually working hard in favor
of his web page, as here every information is quality based data.

I have 4 fibroids about 4 cm longs, I have very heavy periods and cramps. I just started drinking the pau d’ arco tea yesterday when i started my period and I have noticed my period is less heavy and reduced cramps.
I’m only drinking one cup in the morning. Is this enough to help reduce my fibroids?
I plan to start trying to get pregnant in Sept of this year, please let me know?
