  • Yeast Infection No More-I struggled with yeast infections and Candida for years and was miserable. It can affect you negatively in so many ways! I cleansed for 3 years to get rid of my symptoms and feel like I had it under control. I wish I had "Yeast Infection No More" which would have guided me better. Linda has 240 pages of thorough information on how to get yeast back into balance. I highly recommend it!

Beth's recommendations are in line with what I know to be true regarding health and natural tools. • Nature's Amazing Ear Infection Cures - This Australian lady naturopath teaches how to use natural (easy to find) tools to strengthen and heal the body and prevent further infections. I bought this and really like it. This eBook goes into more depth than my article & it offers many good natural remedies. She has a great freebie too about natural antibiotics!

  • Prince or Princess? Plan Your Baby Program - I've known for a while that it's possible to choose the gender of a baby. I charted my own cycles for a time because I didn't want to use birth control, and the book I used mentioned it. Alicia's product outlines how to do it in easy steps. It's 94.8% successful, which is very good odds. It works. It just takes effort, know-how and good planning. If you're willing to do it, then this is a great program to follow.

  • 12 Steps to Whole Foods Course - My friend, Robyn Openshaw, aka Green Smoothie Girl, has an excellent course for becoming knowledgeable at using whole foods in the kitchen.  So if you're trying to get off a junk food diet, or need more ideas for healthy food preparation and lifestyle, I definitely recommend this.

Stevia: My Sweetener of Choice

What Is Stevia?

Stevia is the name of a plant. When prepared, it can be 30-300 times sweeter than sugar. It is non-caloric and does not affect blood sugar. So it is ideal for those who struggle with diabetes and candida. It is a natural herbal product, unlike the chemical sweeteners you find that are so detrimental to health (just google them if you’re wondering). Read more…

Grapefruit Juice: A Natural Energy Drink

During the winter, when most fruits are out of season, I crave something to balance out a heavier winter diet and decrease mucus from holiday food.

Thank goodness, citrus comes in season. Grapefruit is my favorite. This time of year you can buy them for $3-$5 a bag (Walmart is usually cheapest).

My kids love to help with juicing and eating leftover pulp.

Fresh-made juice gives more energy then store-bought juice. This is because the cells in fresh foods are still alive. This raw life-force goes into our bodies and gives us more vitality than processed, dead foods or juices.

I like to take the edge off the tartness by adding a mini spoonful or two of stevia extract.

I also love to take my green powder (dried wheat, alfalfa & barley grass juice) with grapefruit (or apple) juice. The most effective way I’ve found to alkalize my body fast is taking a teaspoon to a tablespoon of Jurassic Green daily. My kids even request that I put some (a pinch) in their juice.

It’s definitely worth the $10-15 investment to get an electric citrus juicer. I love mine! They are very efficient and save a ton of effort.

I always feel healthier after I drink this juice. I hope you’ll give it a try!

To your health and happiness in the new year!

Ready-When-You-Wake Cereal Breakfasts

Isn’t it nice to wake up to breakfast already made? To have something to eat that will sustain you and doesn’t make you feel cruddy? Especially when you have to get kids out the door early?

I’m sure there are several ways to make this idea a reality, but I’m going to share my own healthy, cereal favorites.

This is the magic appliance I use. It’s a Zojirushi 10-Cup Rice Cooker.

A crock pot could work, but only if it has a warm setting. The low setting still cooks things too much. This rice cooker has 2 settings: cook and warm.

All year of instant breakfast is well worth investing in one of these babies. Read more…

Fresh Juice: It Does A Body Good

Living food gives me energy. Every so often I get weighed down from eating too much cooked or processed food, and I just need something cleansing, yummy, and easy for my body to assimilate. My answer is juice.

I know there are people that say juice is bad because you’re not getting your fiber. Please don’t get me wrong. I love fiber. I eat it and drink it every day. I blend green fruit drinks every morning. Juicing is a once a week to bi-weekly event. I recommend that you blend some greens often, but when you really want a heavenly energy elixir, try fresh juice.

I get out my Breville Juice Fountain Elite. I went through lots of juicers before I found this gem. It is amazing, but it’s definitely an investment. A worthy investment.
