My sweet dog, Andy, that we’ve had for a years, a golden lab, has been getting sicker and sicker. He’s always had recurring ear infections and I felt that the problem was not just an external one. Similar to human conditions, most rashes, eczema, psoriasis, ear infections and many other problems are actually indications of an unhealthy internal environment.
We’ve been feeding him conventional dog food, and for a long time I have felt that he is probably allergic to something in the food or that it is in someway unhealthy for him. I have no doubt about it at all. Companies make things as cheaply as possible and make it look so good on the label. I switched his food a few weeks ago, but I didn’t really know if it was any better. Not only has he had the typical gunky and itchiness lately, where he’s pawing at his ears nonstop, but he’s been getting fatty tumors, his skin under his fur has been turning blacker and he has been losing some of his hair.
I’m on a mission. We have a couple health issues in our immediate family that are reaching crisis mode. Or level. And so begins my quest.
The most urgent of our health issues is my daughter’s mouth. Couple years ago we learned that she had an infection in one of her teeth and they recommended a root canal. With my Master Herbalist training I feel certain we could find some natural solutions. I’ve been researching on and off over the past couple years and found some pretty good Information. Unfortunately, I wasn’t sure if it would really solve the problem and I couldn’t force my daughter to do some of it for very long. Now they say she needs 2 root canals!
My daughter, Raquel, bought a couple rats as pets several weeks ago. They did alright until this past week and were making quite a mess where they were located. We decided that we would be taking them back to the pet store this week. Yesterday I opened up one of our closets and one of the rats was in there. It made me scream. It had not gotten out before, and it startled me quite a bit!
Raquel had not fed her rats for a couple days or so when Lily put her finger in the cage today, and one of the rats bit her very hard.
Well, everyone, our book started out with the rank of 1 million out of over 8 million books on Amazon. At the beginning of last week, when we started spreading the word, the book rank rose to #200K. When we started our launch event, the rank was at #77K and over the course of two days it steadily rose all the way to #250 on all of Amazon and is currently #1 in the categories of:
*Parenting & Relationships: Family Health
*Health, Fitness & Dieting: Alternative Medicine: Herbal Remedies My contributors and I are extremely pleased about the success of the book!
Our book is currently hovering between #300-400 out of all books on Amazon! We’ve got a couple more reviews, so we have 16 strong ones and they are all 5 stars. We would love more! If we keep up the momentum a bit, by getting more reviews then it could really help as we are still trying to hit the top 100 list! I’m planning radio and TV interviews around the country to promote “Trust Your Intuition.”
So for everyone who bought the book…thank you so much from the bottom of my heart! I know you will LOVE it, and I hope you all leave us 5 star reviews!
For those who didn’t buy it yet, the price change finally went through, so we should see it go down on Amazon sometime in the next few days, so stay tuned for that! We really have very little control over the price, so hopefully everyone understands about that! Also, the hardback is now available on Xlibris at http://bit.ly/1aYomCd and should be on Amazon soon.
Kindle Update: We am planning a similar launch for the Kindle version in the last week of August. We will probably be able to give it for free for a few days!
Wow, it is here! The book launch actually is here! The book was ranked at one million last week out of all 8 million books on Amazon, then at #200k 2 days ago, 77K yesterday, 12k today, but it just hit #266! We are so close to an Amazon Bestseller!!!
I am so thankful, in awe, and overjoyed. I cannot express how grateful I am to the contributors to the book. They are all wonderful and have great stories to tell. Everyone can learn something new from “Trust Your Intuition” whether you are just starting off with natural medicine or you have been using it for years.
I also want to thank and remind everyone of the free gifts that you are able to receive when you buy the book today. There are so many useful and wonderful gifts available. The people who have donated them are great.
Remember to go to Amazon to get your book and then head over to NaturalMedicineConfessions.com to get your free downloads. The gifts will ONLY BE AVAILABLE until JULY 18th! Due to a glitch in the category of our book on Amazon, we extended the deadline by one day to make sure everyone gets their gifts!
It’s thrills me to get feedback from my wonderful readers, so PLEASE leave feedback on Amazon! It helps so much as we try to spread messages of natural health to the world!
If everyone shares the book with 10-15 friends, I know it will hit bestseller! This is our goal, so please share like crazy!!!
With my book launch so close (this Wednesday!), life has been crazy. There are radio/TV interviews I am scheduling and press releases that have to be done. My book is scheduled to be featured on KUTV in Utah, which is the CBS channel. Cool, huh? Through all of the crazy that is going on, I just think how amazing this whole experience has been! I have written a collaborative book that I am passionate about and now everyone who buys the book can become empowered!

Are you afraid of your children coming home with head lice? Kelly Moeggenborg talks about how she dealt with them naturally. Kelly had a “food transformation” when she discovered the Weston A. Price Foundation in 2004 after a long-time love affair with convenience foods. She began passionately researching how to eat and live better, and on January 1st, 2008 the ‘politically incorrect’ Kelly the Kitchen Kop blog was born. She now enjoys helping others with the knowledge she has gained from her own family’s transition to Real Food. In addition to blogging, she also teaches an online class called, ‘Real Food for Rookies’, and helps individuals become healthier through one-on-one phone or in-person consultations. Kelly lives near Grand Rapids, Michigan with her husband of 25 years and is a Weston Price local co-chapter leader. I had so much fun writing this book and getting to know the women who helped me with my book! Here is a little more about them:
I am so excited to officially announce the release of my book, Trust Your Intuition 25 “Natural Medicine Confessions” from Influential Women. The big launch will be on July 17, 2013. “Trust Your Intuition” is a collaborative book, authored by influential women bloggers, who write about their experiences with conventional and natural medicine. They discuss why they ultimately chose natural medicine and they share some of their most successful remedies and advice.
I am so excited to officially announce the release of my book, Trust Your Intuition 25 “Natural Medicine Confessions” from Influential Women. It will be released July 17, 2013. Too many people suffer from ill health and live an unhealthy lifestyle because they don’t understand how to move themselves and their families to a healthier state. I am passionate about empowering people with natural tools for health and helping people be more self-reliant in their health care. For this reason I chose to write this book.
I asked some very knowledgeable women how they have, over the past years, used natural remedies in their households. These women have many great insights and I am so thankful for their contributions to this amazing book!
In my book there are situations that these women have encountered and they have shared how they have used natural medicine to resolve the problem. I want to introduce you to a few of them as we get ready to launch the book.
Tens of thousands of health-conscious women have learned from Katie’s expertise to embrace the “Wellness Mama” lifestyle. She has helped clients lose weight, increase athletic performance, improve fertility, and more. She shares many of her valuable tips for using natural tools for healing in the book.
One of the amazing women contributing to my book is Rachel Parrish. Rachel is a mother to 2 children and a wife to a wellness doctor. Her passions are faith, family and health. She supports her husband in helping to change the way people look at their health and uses her blog, www.day2dayjoys.com, as a tool to do that. In her chapter of the book you will be able to learn more about how to maximize your living.
Corinne is a successful, fashion designing mom and an inspiration to so many people who are fed up with traditional medicine. Being a child of excessive exposure to antibiotics, her immune system suffered. She empowered herself by seeking help and guidance from natural remedies experts, educated herself on various techniques, and has been able to keep her family the healthiest they have ever been. From Corinne’s chapter she will tell you how she got back her immune system and shares her exclusive recipe for infection fighting. Her website is Persnickety Clothing.
Gina is a 39 yr old stay-at-home mom that struggled with high blood pressure, being overweight and depressed until making the decision to make a change in her health after the birth of her 3 yr old daughter in 2009. By making healthy changes in her diet, drinking water and running, she was able to lose 76 pounds and has just recently completed her 2nd marathon in February 2013. Gina talks about how she lost the weight she gained over the years of having her children. The tips she discusses are very informative and very easy to implement. Her blog is called “Slow Is The New Fast.”
I am so thankful for the help of these women and so many more! I am so excited for this book release!
The last time I took my kids to a water park, I ended up neglecting to put sunscreen on my entire body. It wasn’t that hot of a day so I wasn’t as diligent about it, and I ended up with a pretty good burn on my back and shoulders.
The same weekend I found out about a little girl, toddler age who had been badly burned on her hand. Her mother had tried the conventional treatment and the burn was not healing very fast.
Last week, my son woke up with a fever and didn’t feel well. I put him in my bed, rubbed a drop each of peppermint essential oil and doTERRA’s Immune Protective blend called On Guard on the bottoms of his feet. He slept for 45 minutes, got up and was fine after that.
Want natural tools and better health? Wish you had more control over your family’s healthcare?
If you’ve been thinking about using essential oils or trying doTERRA’s oils, here is a deal you don’t want to pass up! And for now, there is NO expiration date for this!
I am Jenni Wilson, doTERRA IPC (#4797), showing you how to get $100 of doTERRA oils, a wholesale membership, AND a Modern Essentials Reference book for FREE!
Look at doTERRA’s kits HERE and then set up a 20 minute Free consultation with someone on the Natural Medicine Mom team, to learn about essential oils, and which natural remedies or kit would work best for your family and health issues. doTERRA offers starter kits at a discount. If you decide to get a kit, then you will receive the $35 wholesale membership for free! This entitles you to purchase all of doTERRA’s products at 25% off for one year. If you are still ordering after a year, then you will pay a renewal fee of $25 and doTERRA will send you a 15 ml bottle of peppermint for free. If you set up a second order the month after your first order of 50 PV or more, I will send you free reference book!
Loyalty Rewards (PDF Flyer) is doTERRA’s monthly order program and the most economical way to buy their products, however you don’t need to order every month. If you have an order over $50 PV, you can submit it through this program and get points back or select the $1 donation to Healing Hands to stay on the program and progress from 10 to 30% back in free product points on all your orders. You start at 10% back in points, and for every three orders you make over $50 (or 50 PV), you receive an additional 5% back on your purchases in points for more free products until you are at 30% in points back. Points are used as dollars for free products.
When you are at the whopping 30% back in points on all your Loyalty Reward purchases, this adds up. I redeemed $360 in free products after my 12 purchases and now I accumulate that much every 4 months (I order $100 a/mo or more usually).
If you decide to purchase one of the bigger kits ($500 and up), you will receive the best value. You will save significantly on the kit itself, and you will save several months of time on LRP and get a higher percentage of points back right at the start. And if you order 100 PV the next month after your first order, then doTERRA will credit you with at least 100 points for free products!*

*Points take up to 60 days to show up on your account. There is a $3 fee per 100 points redeemed.
I am always more susceptible to illness after the holidays, so it did not surprise me when I caught a virus about two weeks after Christmas. My baby had it first, and my husband thought he may have brought it home from the ER. I thought I might escape, but after eating too many delicious, but not so healthy, holiday foods, I was out of luck.
A couple years ago my father was away on a trip.
When he got home, he was missing help at work and he had several serious problems at work. His foot started hurting. He had no idea what it was. It took over a week to get rid of the problem.
A couple months ago, my son came down with a “cold” and cough. I didn’t think much of it until the cough started getting MUCH worse. He was the first in our family to get pertussis or whooping cough, and as much as I hate the use of antibiotics, we put everyone on them so we wouldn’t pass this around.
I am not a doctor (that would be my husband). Any advice or recommendations you find on this site should not be construed as medical advice. I do not claim to be able to diagnose, cure or prevent any disease (you can do that yourself). If you choose to follow my example, you will be taking responsibility for your own health and wellness.
